One Day Trip to Mati from Davao City

Here's one good thing to share about our one day trip to Mati, Davao Oriental. I believe that all would agree that travelling is a whole lot of fun.

As the travel manager of this trip, I see to it that we could go back here in Davao City before 7:00 in the evening as scheduled since this would just be a one day trip.

As part of our recreational activity of our school (our team building activity), Active Star Kids Arts and Play School, Inc. (Visit and Like our page!). I personally acquainted my teachers about the one day trip. And since we have our driver and Starex Van to be used for the travel, it is a lesser burden for me than to book a travel agency or hire a service van for the said trip. All of the teachers have agreed that we will be going to a beach resort in Mati.

I have read about the many things to do in Mati through some travel blogs , since we are going to a beach resort then the only target place would be the Dahican Beach. Yeah, it is our first time!

From Davao City, Specifically in Spring Valley, Buhangin, we departed around 4:00 in the morning (supposed to be 3:00 AM) and estimated time to arrive in Mati is 7:00 AM.

We headed from Davao, Tagum then straight to Pantukan, Banaybanay and Lupon going straight to Mati.

Now this is the simple itinerary that I made for the trip.

GOING MATI
3:00 AM - Head off from Davao City to Mati City
7:00 AM - Arrive in Mati

GOING DAVAO
2:00 PM - Head off to Davao City
6:00 PM - Home sweet home in Davao City

1st Stop - Davao Oriental Welcome Park (Davao Oriental Welcome Signage)
We arrived at 5:30 AM
While others had their picture taking, some of us were sipping some hot coffee (3 in 1 coffee mixes) at 12 pesos only at nearby sari-sari stores and taken our prepared boiled eggs and hotdogs as our breakfast meal,

Picture taking with the signage :)

With my family :) Van (Wifey), Veighn (Girl in red), Vin (Me), Vaughn (Boy in blue), Voughnezz (Baby)

Some sari-sari stores who sells food and drinks :)

With our teachers and kids, the #TeamASKAPS :)
2nd Stop - Sleeping Dinosaur
We arrived at 6:30 AM
Everyone enjoyed taking selfies and group pictures with the island.

Now, forget about the bomber infront :) That is the sleeping dinosaur!
Shhhh, don't make any noise... :)
And this is supposed to be a Jump Shot! The #TeamASKAPS :)
Of course, we can do a solo picture anywhere! Nice one, right? :)
After the picture taking, we are heading down to Dahican Beach! Yeah :)
And the target stop is the Dahican Beach!
We arrived at 7:20 AM
We stayed in Menzi Beach Park and Campsite, expect some big waves!
Entrance Fee: 50.00 pesos per head
Cottage Fee: 300 pesos
NO Corkage Fee, you can bring any food and drinks as you want :)
With my son Vaughn and of course never forget your sun screen :)
Aside from swimming, which is the best activity we enjoyed, visitors in the place could do skim boarding and surfing! I love to try it but....
We enjoyed our stay since we had a lot of time for swimming and bonding with our teachers that is from 7:20 AM to 2:00 PM.
Took a CR and took some pic :)
Me and the cottages :)

I captured this, with my other companions :)
